It means we work co-operatively, sharing our time and expertise pro bono for the collective benefit of artists and our communities. ArtCollective NSW is run by volunteers and supported by sponsors.

We work pro bono and provide in-kind support for exhibiting artists.
Our in-kind support includes:

~ Non-cash donations to art exhibitions

Yes. We are open to exhibition proposals.
Your proposal should provide:
• A brief description of your exhibition or project
• Include biographical details of the artist(s) and curator(s), a contact address and telephone number
• A budget outline with details of funding for the exhibition
• Preferred dates for your exhibition or project. -
We are based in Port Macquarie on Birpai Country. In mid-2026 we plan to open in Sydney, on Gadigal Country.

ArtCollective NSW does not retain a commission from exhibitions that are funded by the artist through gallery hire and/or financially supported by arts funding bodies.
ArtCollective NSW retains 25% commission on website sales.
Gallery commission of 40% applies to curated exhibitions which are not funded by the artist or arts bodies.
All of the ArtCollective NSW earnings are put towards operating costs: rent, electricity, marketing and public liability insurance.
The ArtCollective NSW gallery manager & curator does not receive commissions, wages or any other form of renumeration. Our supporters also work pro bono and do not receive renumeration in any way.
